Some importance of gear oil in cars.
Firstly, gear oil helps to reduce friction and noise between gears. The absence of gear oil in the differentials or transmissions causes noise, friction and heat generation between the gears and can cause a lot of damage to the internal components of the car's gear system. It's better to prevent it rather than curing.
Secondly, gear oil is also used to remove dirt and any other containments in the gear system. The gear oil flushes away any containments from the metal contact area. When this is done it helps a lot to easily change the gears smoothly without
any stress.
In addition, gear oil contains additives. Additives are substances that can find themselves in a solid or liquid state which are added to materials to enhance their function or use. Additives in gear oil protect the gears when used from corrosion and heat. As I said earlier, it enhances smooth and easy movement of the gears in the differentials of a car or machines.
Other essentials of gear oil when used in cars.
1.It prevents metal to metal contact.
2.Reduces wear
3.Increases the overall performance of the gear system
The following are some signs and systems of a bad gear gear oil.
1.Vibrations
2.Bad smell from the differential
3.Causes problem to the clutch
4.Grinding
2.Oil treatment
Oil treatment is specially implemented and formulated to keep the engine running like new and smooth. It's a fluid-like substance that helps to protect the engine.
Functions of oil treatment.
- Seals worn out rings to help improve engine compression.
- Fights engine oil breakdown at high temperatures.
- Oil treatment helps worn out engines run faster.
- It helps stop engine wear
- Quit oil foaming.
- Stop oil burning.
Directions
Add one can of oil treatment to the crankcase when engine has warmed up to operating temperature. In the case where the engine wears excessively, pour two (2) cans of oil treatment into the crankcase.
Warning/Caution
- Eye and skin irritant
- Rinse the eye immediately when it gets in contact with the eyes.
- Keep away from children.
